Just north of San Francisco is Point Reyes Station California; a vast wilderness where you can experience incredible wildlife along a 70,000 acre peninsula of land. Entry into the park is free for everyone on a day visit however there are fees for camping.

But you can use the charcoal briquette grills in designated areas of the park to cook hotdogs, hamburgers and other foods.
After you are done eating, you can wander the park and explore the sights. If you need to use the restroom, the Bear Valley Visitor Center offers restrooms and showers that are open 24/7. Picnic tables and grills are also located here. And there is space to keep you out of the rain in the picnic locations at this building.
With so much to do at Point Reyes National Park, you’ll want to look over the maps and schedule a time to be there when wildlife is most active. During spring and summer, you’ll find the woods are the perfect place to see the animals that live there. Where as the early months you’ll see whales and seals mating and lining the coastal waters.
